Murdered By The Brevard County Sheriff's Office

Many within the Brevard County community see Mr. Edwards as a local hero (see I-95 billboard pic - right of this page), and they desire to know exactly what transpired during Edwards' two hours in custody within the Brevard County jail.

On December 9, 2018 at approximately 1P.M., Edwards entered the Brevard County jail. Two hours later he was being medically transported to the local hospital, where he would die the next day.

This publication forwards our suspicions that Mr. Edwards' death was NOT properly, and / or fully investigated by the following agencies; - the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, the State Attorney's Office, the local medical examiner, and finally by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Records provide clear evidence, that sheriff deputies used force (pepper spray, taser, and body blows) against Mr. Edwards. This entire encounter was captured on the jail's video cameras. Sheriff Ivey has refused to release this jail video to the public.

Given the recent in-custody death of George Floyd (Minneapolis PD) - we (VolusiaExposed.Com), and many others, to include local government officials, support the public release of the jail video.

The local newspaper, FloridaToday.Com recently filed a lawsuit against Sheriff Wayne Ivey - in an attempt to gain access to this jail video records.

Today (October 7, 2020) - VolusiaExposed.Com attended, and audio recorded, a court hearing connected to Florida Today's lawsuit (see attached audio files - upper right of this page).

These court proceedings are of public interest - therefore, VolusiaExposed has decided to publish the audio files from these hearings.

Judge David Dugan ruled that Sheriff Wayne Ivey must provide Florida Today's expert witness access to the jail security video that recorded the events surrounding Mr. Edwards' demise.

FloridaToday.Com's Court Motion

The trial to determine if the jail video is releasable as public record is currently scheduled to start the last week of this month (October 2020)

So.... stand by to stand by - there is surely more to come of this.....

Many in Brevard County see Mr. Edwards as a military hero - and demand to know how Edwards met his dismise within the Brevard County jail. Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey MUST release the jail video.

Gregory Lloyd Edwards

The above video memorializes how Sheriff Wayne Ivey is blinding the public's understanding of how U.S. combat medic Gregory Edwards met his demise. All of this is just the newest version of a rather dated police practice.
